Bear in mind that the recommendation is a guide rather than a hard rule. Your dog's overall health, wellbeing and body condition all play a part, so use it alongside your own knowledge of them.
It's also worth logging back into your account every now and then to update your dog's details – age, weight, that sort of thing. Feeding needs change over time, and this is especially true for younger dogs growing into themselves and older dogs who've started to slow down a little. Keeping things up to date means the recommendations stay relevant.
