Good news for puppy parents, 12 of our 13 recipes are suitable for dogs of all ages, including puppies. We follow FEDIAF guidelines for dog food manufacture and stay within the tighter tolerances for puppy food across almost our entire range.
The one exception is our Low Purine & Phosphorus recipe from the Health+ range, which we recommend for adult dogs over 12 months only, due to the level of phosphorus in that particular mixture.
When it comes to introducing any new food, a steady transition over 7 to 10 days is the way to go, starting with a small amount of Different Dog alongside their current food and building up gradually from there. For younger puppies especially, it can help to stick to one protein source to begin with, keeping things simple while their digestive system finds its feet.
Our vet Alison and nutritionist Bianca are both on hand to support you through the transition, particularly if you're bringing a young pup onto a freshly cooked diet for the first time. Drop us a message at feedme@differentdog.com to request a call back from either of them.
