Pop one in the fridge at least 24 hours before it's needed and you're sorted. Forgot to take one out? No panic, leave the pot on the kitchen side and check it every hour or so to make sure it's still cold. Worth knowing that smaller pots (like the 250g) defrost quite a bit quicker than the larger ones, so keep a closer eye on those. Once defrosted, it goes straight into the fridge and stays fresh for up to 5 days.
When your delivery arrives, put around 2 days' worth of food into the fridge and the rest straight into the freezer. Each time you work through a pack, replace it with a frozen one – that way the next meal is always ready and waiting.
If your delivery arrives chilled rather than fully frozen, don't worry. It's still safe to use and can go straight into the freezer.
